Small things do matter

This is my first post, I guess. I’m writing this with flowing tears in my eyes. Yesterday, I joined a volunteer program since I really got nothing to do during the whole weekend. My friends went back to their hometown. They do have their rights to do so. I don’t feel offended, of course. Back to the story, my team and I prepared food, Mee Rebus Siang (I don’t know why it is called Siang, since I have never tried Mee Rebus before.)
We prepared whole-heartedly with warm loves (errr) for 120 homeless people. At the the end of the preparation, we did a sharing session with the permanent volunteers about the program. The program has been started since 2013 until now. It was not a good sign as it is shown to us the quantity of the homeless are getting no lesser. Like, come on guys. We are living the metropolitan city named Kuala Lumpur. The whole world know that Kuala Lumpur is one of the best to place and one of the attraction place in Malaysia as we have a couple of huge jagung, I mean our twin tower. (I called it, Dua Tongkol Jagung, I love food so much.)
The kakak volunteer said that all of them are struggling to survive even to find food whatsmore to have a proper shelter to live in. One of the homeless come all the way from Kajang by bus to just even have a proper meal from the volunteer project as she had a family issue with her only family. Based on the story, I never imagine that there are people still struggling to have proper meals in our awesome and well-being society. Hey guys, there are people are struggling to eat tomyam. Everyday, I eat tomyam and I wasted some of it. I don’t have any idea that some people out there are struggling for it. Of course, it is not only tomyam but other foods also. There are people struggling to have foods while some of us just waste it without thinking twice.
Guys, small thing do matter. Every single small details about people around us do matter. One abang said to me, when I was trying to pass something to him decently and politely, he said, “You don’t need to be sopan with me because it only wasting time. We need to be fast.” It does true somehow! Then he was chit chatting with one of his friend, ‘Orang yang berjiwa besar, tak pandang hal yang kecik!” Well, I have to sorry that it eventually not true at some extents. Small things done with purpose are a big deal! Have you heard the idiom, “Dream big.”

Some of you might think, “Ala benda macam ni pun nak kecoh ke?” Ya, perlu dikecohkan. Some of you are born with silver spoon in mouth. You don’t know the effort they take to do the small things. You don’t know how much the value that they earned while doing it. You don’t know what the happiness meant to them of having it. You won’t know because you never suffer from hard life. Some of you never feel the hardness to earn the small things.
You don’t know what is the meaning of a little "thank you” that you will say to some for a "little favor" shown to you a key to unlock the doors that hide the unseen "greater favors". You don’t know how “I am sorry” do matter by some people to say it and to accept it. You don’t realize that the little things can lead people to misunderstand to each other and it looks so dreadful. Even silence, it does matter.  You don’t know.

It’s the little things that matter most.
Small things make a big difference.
Sometimes the smallest things in life have the biggest meaning
Small things become great when done with love.
